Biography:

Michael Orr is a senior associate in Lobb & Cliff’s civil litigation department. Mr. Orr’s practice focuses on legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and other professional liability claims, and general and commercial litigation. He is currently representing attorneys, brokers and agents, real estate developers, corporations and individuals in all aspects of the litigation process, including real property, contract, and lease disputes. His past professional experience includes:

Rentz v. Home Depot – Trial counsel for Home Depot, U.S.A. Inc.

Defended regional and national residential developers in construction defect litigation.

Obtained insurance coverage for clients in litigation.

Represented FDIC in an action to obtain recovery from potentially responsible parties in environmental action.

Mr. Orr earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1998, graduating in the top 15% of his class. While in law school, he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award as the top student in his Trial Advocacy class. Prior to attending Brigham Young University, Mr. Orr served his mission in Birmingham, England.

Mr. Orr is currently a Unit Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America and has recently served as a Board Member for The American Youth Soccer Organization in Aliso Viejo.

Mr. Orr is presently a member of The State Bar of California where he is a member of the Business, Real Property and Litigation sections. He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association.
