Biography:

Tim R. Plewe is a partner in Lobb & Cliff’s Real Estate Transactions and Business Counseling Departments. Mr. Plewe began at Lobb & Cliff as a summer associate in 2001.

In addition to handling all types of real estate and business transactions, Mr. Plewe’s work in the Business Counseling Department includes counseling and representation of clients on employment and intellectual property matters. Mr. Plewe has served as lead counsel for clients involved in many transactions and proceedings, including:

Obtaining entitlements and creating covenants, conditions and restrictions for an 80,000 square foot light industrial park.
$8 million sale of company for tax deferred stock in national company prior to IPO.
1031 Exchange involving multiple sales and acquisitions in excess of $15 million.
$12 million acquisition and sale of a 45,000 square foot office building.
The representation of a developer at City Council and City Planning meetings to successfully remove developer’s project from a building moratorium.
Representation of numerous employers at Labor Commissioner and Unemployment Appeals Board hearings.
Registration of numerous trademarks, service marks and copyrights on behalf of clients.
Representation of client in opposition proceeding before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO.

Mr. Plewe graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University, with a degree in History. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from UCLA, where he was also an Articles Editor on the Journal of Law and Technology. During law school, Mr. Plewe volunteered with the UCLA Street Law Program and taught classes at Del Ray Continuation High School in Westchester, CA. Mr. Plewe served a church mission in the Dominican Republic and speaks Spanish fluently.

Mr. Plewe is a member of The State Bar of California and its Business Law and Real Property Law sections, as well as the Riverside County Bar Association.
