Career OpportunitiesSUMMER PROGRAMEach year Lobb & Cliff, LLP, participates in the Fall On-Campus Recruiting Program at a number of law schools in Southern California. In typical years, L&C interviews on campus at USC, UCLA, Loyola, and UC Irvine. In years past, we have also interviewed at Pepperdine, Southwestern, Brigham Young University, and Hofstra University, among others. Resumes from students attending other law schools are also considered for participation in our summer clerk program. The firm has designated a committee to oversee the summer program, fall recruiting efforts, and the incoming associate integration program. During the summer program, each summer associate is rotated through the various departments of the firm. Each summer associate will have a chance to work with all of the attorneys at the firm in a variety of matters. The objective of the summer program is to provide summer associates with a realistic idea of what it would be like to work at Lobb & Cliff on a permanent basis. With that in mind, we make every effort to include summer associates on a wide array of projects. In the past, our summer associates have drafted motions for summary judgment, attended client meetings, prepared for and attended depositions and hearings, drafted estate planning documents, performed legal research, and even assisted with and attended trials. The firm also plans a variety of both formal and informal social events throughout the summer with the hope of providing summer associates with the opportunity to get to know our lawyers and staff, as well as acquaint summer associates with the cultural and recreational activities available in the Riverside area.
